NEW YORK, USA // Born into an advertising family, Tim Hawkey spent the first 22 years of his life trying to avoid a life in advertising. He may have failed at that, but he’s made up for it with a meteoric, award-winning career.
By many accounts, Tim is the most award-winning healthcare creative director in the US.
As the creative leader for Area 23, he has earned Most Creative Agency status in the US for 2 years running. And in just the last 2 years, he has brought in over 75 national and international trophies, including Global Awards, Clios, MM&M’s, the Mannys, the Creative Floor, IPA Best of Health, and of course Lions Health.
In addition, multiple campaigns from Area 23 were published by Luerzers Archive last year, an achievement of which Tim is particularly proud.
Tim is driven by a long-term goal of blurring the lines between healthcare advertising and non-healthcare advertising. “There are a lot of factors that are holding back the quality in pharma advertising. And we’re dismantling them, one by one.”
