SINGAPORE // Dione is a Sound Designer and Composer at Song Zu Singapore.

From the years in the field of sound design and music production, she has built an impressive roster of experience by working with several global brands such as Lux, Nike, Visa and Samsung.

Her talent in music composition has led to songs written for the Sydney Writer’s Festival, Temasek Holdings and McDonald’s.

As a Singaporean, she is proud to have produced sound design and composition works for numerous Singapore government agencies such as the Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Culture Community and Youth, as well as the Ministry of Communications and Information.

As a sound designer, Dione loves creating and recording her own palette of sounds. She believes excellent sound design comes from an obsession for detail.

Dione approaches her work with the philosophy that great sound design is the critical binding element in storytelling. She understands audio's potential ability to add a new dimension to any project, elevating the piece from good to sensational.

Over the course of her career, she has been involved in audio projects throughout Asia, North America and Europe, with clients including Christian Dior, Neil Barrett, Mercedes and the London Royal Opera House. Prior to joining Song Zu, Dione was Music Director and Arranger for the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s musical production of Rapunzel.

Dione graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, majoring in Electronic Production & Design and was awarded the Roland Award for excellence in music technology. As a student, she was the winner of an International Women’s Day orchestral score competition, written for and performed by the Mill Valley Philharmonic.

Upon graduation, she was selected as one of five members for the outstanding Berklee Interarts Ensemble, where she performed in Santiago de Cuba and Havana to celebrate the 50th anniversary of electro-acoustic music in Cuba.

More recently, Dione’s audio career has led to various television works including the documentary series ‘The Toque 12’, the comedy series ‘Here Come the Habibs’ Seasons 1 and 2, as well as ‘Soul Mates II’, which was nominated for the Australian Screen Sound Guild Award.
