BOGOTA, COLOMBIA // Catalina is the Managing director and Creative lead for VML’s Colombia office which delivers work throughout Latin America.

She holds a Master degree in Fine Arts as well as in Latin American Literature, which makes her wonder—every now and then—why she is managing VML Colombia ;)

In her role Catalina oversees the VML Bogotá office as well as the Creative output for all the operations with Regional Clients. These include Colgate Palmolive, Bridgestone, Kimberly Clark and AB InBev. Mindful Regional Creativity and Digital transformation expertise has helped achieve significant grow along with award winning work.

Catalina joined Studiocom in 2003 as a designer, working in the first real time interactive community for Coca-Cola – Coke Studios. Through 2006 she worked as an Art director and user experience designer for many US clients including Mattel, 20 Century Fox, Delta and Coca-Cola. In 2006 she became Creative Director and founder of the Studiocom office in Boston, MA leading the digital transformation of Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins and McCormick winning Webbys, Clios and One Shows.

VML acquired Studiocom in 2006 and asked Catalina to return to Bogotá in 2009 and lead the regional Creative and Strategy practice. Although originally focused on accounts in the US the growth and expertise of the team attracted local clients in need of VML’s services. By 2017 the VML Colombia office leads digital and creative work for regional latin-american clients like Colgate-Palmolive and Kimberly-Clark as well as local accounts in Colombia including Mazda.

With amazing submissions to Cannes, Clios and other shows this year, as well as a Latin Effie awarded last year, The VML Colombia team lead by Catalina is in the rise.
