COLOGNE, GERMANY // German Chief Creative Officer Jan Dirk Kemming is responsible for the creative ambition across all disciplines and practices. He also oversees the German Studio Operations (Content Creation in Design, Video, Development, Digital Campaigns) and the Strategy & Analytics department. Since spring 2012 he also serves as Chief Creative Officer Europe.

He joined Weber Shandwick in fall 2007 and consulted cross-market/cross-discipline clients like Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Carglass, Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile, Electrolux, iglo, InBev, WeightWatchers, Wrigley, Nesquik, Nespresso, Novartis, Samsung or Subway,.

Previous work experiences include Division Manager Concept/Creation at a BBDO LIVE and Creative Director at a Wunderman branch in Germany.

His personal creative award track record includes the German Award for Online Communication and the European Digital Award, Sabre Awards, International Sponsoring Awards, German ADC recognitions and German Event Award EVA for clients such as Nestlé Purina, Deutsche Telekom, Vattenfall, Subway, Aktion Mensch, Vivendi Universal or Nissan.

Jan Dirk studied Social Sciences, Philosophy and German linguistics. He also holds an MBA and a PhD in political science. He is teaching corporate branding and marketing communications at Cologne University of Applied Science.
