NEW YORK, USA // Karl Westman is a musician, recording engineer come adman. He started at Ogilvy & Mather in 1981 as a junior music producer, who in subsequent years, went on to work both in and outside the agency ranks. He worked at fabled music production companies, Crushing Music and JSM Music. He held a Music Director position at McCann Erickson, then as an independent producer, he worked at FCB. He returned to Ogilvy, his third time back actually, in 1999 where he took the Executive Music Producer position.  Karl has touched every brand imaginable during his career and has had the privilege of collaborating with artists as diverse as Little Richard, James Murphy, Quincy Jones, Danny Elman and Philip Glass–to name a stellar few.  In his current role, Karl–with the help of his team–produces the music for IBM, American Express, UPS, NASCAR and COKE.
