NEW YORK, USA // Sherry Pudloski is vice president and head of communications for the Global Innovative Pharma business. She also leads reputation communications across the enterprise and manages a team responsible for communications in the Europe and Africa-Middle East region. She is a member of the communications leadership team.

Prior to her current role Sherry was head of external communications for Pfizer Inc. Her team worked across Pfizer to lead communications that drive the business, build and protect the company’s reputation and work to create an environment where Pfizer can continue to advance better health. Her team also led communications for the Legal Division.

Sherry was previously vice president of communications for Pfizer’s Primary Care Business Unit as the business transitioned through the patent expiry of Lipitor, the most widely prescribed medicine. She led change communications and issues management to re-engage in a new primary care mission. She was responsible for all internal and external communications initiatives and served on the business unit leadership team.

Before joining Pfizer, Sherry was executive director of strategic planning at Novartis, responsible for driving new approaches to medication adherence, innovation and health information technology. At Novartis, Sherry also held leadership roles in communications, including communications head for the Cardiovascular Metabolic Operating Unit and issues management lead. She was a member of the program office and led communications for the implementation of a new commercial model in the US.

Prior to joining Novartis, Sherry was the global healthcare practice head at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where she worked extensively with clients across the industry including on such award-winning efforts as The Heart Truth, the National Institutes of Health campaign to increase awareness among women about heart disease. She worked with companies including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Pfizer and Unilever on corporate, issues and product communications.

Sherry is a member of the Global Women's Council at Pfizer and chair of the US Women's Council. She was the founder and co-lead the New York Women’s Leadership Network at Pfizer, a colleague group committed to developing and advancing women leaders at Pfizer. She serves on Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for Maryvale Preparatory School in Brooklandville, MD. She was an instructor for the New York University masters in communications program and has lectured on issues management at Georgetown University.

Sherry has a BA from Duke University.
