Justin Bromley
Senior Flame Artist
Fin Design & Effects

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA // Spanning a healthy career over a 25 year period, he started out as an assistant on-line editor and tape operator at Illoura Melbourne. In 1994, Justin moved to AAV Melbourne, where he got the opportunity to test out the brand new piece of gear, called 'Flint'. Revolutionary for the time, it was a really exciting phase for Justin as he started dabbling in compositing work.

Justin relocated to Sydney in 1996, where he continued working as a Flint artist, with Sydney FX house, Omnicon. The following year, Justin was promoted to lead Flame artist. After a successful period at Omnicon, Justin was then approached by Animal Logic to head up their newly formed, Discreet Logic Inferno team. Whilst at Animal, Justin had the opportunity to work on many high end local and international TVCS, whilst also branching out, working on some notable film projects such as The Matrix, Babe 2 with George Miller and The Thin Red Line.

3 years later, Justin transitioned over to Fin Design + Effects in 2001, where he helped set up and establish the facility and workflow.

Shortly thereafter, Justin ventured over to London to work at The Mill as a senior Flame artist, where he gained invaluable experience working on some large scale projects for many local and international directors.

Alas, his love of Sydney was calling, so Justin decided to move back home, returning to his previous role as Senior Flame Artist at Fin Design + Effects, recently becoming  a partner. Throughout his tenure at Fin, Justin has worked on many award winning campaigns with some amazing global directors, such as Steve Rogers, Garth Davis, Mark Malloy and Jeff Darling. Receiving many accolades for his work at various local and international award shows.
