NEW YORK, USA // In her capacity as SVP/Director of Music for BBDO NY, Rani produces and music supervises the Agency’s most memorable music for Clients including GE, Pepsi, Pedigree, Guinness, Grey Goose, Visa, Mt. Dew, FedEx, HBO, Starbucks and Quaker. She has worked in the studio with many notable Artists, including BB King, Aretha Franklin, Britney, Isaac Hayes, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, KISS, Cheap Trick and…Kermit the Frog.
Rani’s work has been awarded the industry’s highest honors including Cannes Lions, Clio’s, ADDY’s, ANDY’s, LIA’s and two Emmy Awards. Rani’s work can be found in MoMA’s permanent collection and in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Rani was inducted into the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers; she Chaired The AMP Awards for Music & Sound in 2014 and the London International Awards Music Jury in 2015 and is honored to be joining this year’s talented Clio Music Jury.
A native New Yorker and daughter of two concert violinists, Rani grew up backstage at Lincoln Center and in recording sessions. Rani began studying violin at age 6 and attended Juilliard at age 12. She is an active chamber and orchestral musician and as a member of the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, Mimosa Chamber Ensemble and CMC East, Rani performs regularly at venues throughout NYC including the DiMenna Center, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
