NEW YORK—September 29, 2016—The Clio Awards, esteemed international advertising, design and communications competition, announced Grand and “Of the Year” winners at its 57th annual award show held September 28 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
Co-hosted by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, the night featured tributes to the Clio Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Linda Kaplan Thaler and Clio Fashion & Beauty Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Mario Testino.
Leading creatives, marketers, agency heads and high-level executives across advertising, media, music, beauty and fashion were on hand to celebrate the year’s most innovative work. The 2016 Grand Clio Award Winners across media, music, fashion and beauty are:

Linda Kaplan Thaler, former chairman of Publicis Kaplan Thaler, now Publicis New York, received the Clio Lifetime Achievement Award from her former business partner Robin Koval, CEO of Truth Initiative.
Graydon Carter, editor, Vanity Fair, was on hand to present Mario Testino, legendary photographer, with the Clio Fashion & Beauty Lifetime Achievement Award.
An Honorary Clio Award was presented to Baz Luhrmann, director, and Hugh Evans, CEO Global Citizen, received an Honorary Clio Music Award from Chris Anderson, curator, TED.
The Clio Music portion of the evening was sponsored for the second year by Citi® Private Pass®, and introduced by Jennifer Breithaupt, managing director, Media, Advertising and Global Entertainment at Citi. Clio Music included performances by Andra Day and Montell Jordan, both of which appeared on the 2016 Billboard and Clio Music Charts powered by Shazam. Day performed a medley including “Someday at Christmas,” featured in the Apple spot of the same name, as well as “Rise Up” and “I Want It All”, and Jordan performed “This is How We Do It” from Persil’s #1 Rated.
