SAN FRANCISCO, USA // Alfie Brody is currently the Vice President of Global Marketing for the NBA 2K gaming franchise, which includes the top-selling basketball video game NBA 2K, various free to play and premium mobile offerings, NBA 2K Online – a PC game distributed in China and NBA Playgrounds – an arcade-style game.
Alfie’s responsibilities include leading a global marketing team of 50, responsible for consumer acquisition and retention, brand marketing, corporate communications, B2B marketing, licensing and sales, agency management, media buying, and product development.
Over the course of Alfie’s five-year tenure, NBA 2K has become the #1 selling sports video game in North America and #2 worldwide, while solidifying itself as a cultural phenomenon purchased by 10 million people annually.
Prior to 2K, Alfie held various executive marketing positions at Gatorade, the NBA and Red Bull.
Alfie received an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a Masters in Sport Administration from Xavier University and a BA from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he played four years of NCAA Division II college basketball.
Alfie lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and three daughters, where he maintains his status as an uber hoops junky, avid cyclist and runner and semi-professional scotch taster.
