NEW YORK, USA // Amaechi Uzoigwe is a New York-based entertainment executive & entrepreneur with a history of launching successful creative companies, careers, award-winning content & campaigns.

As an artist manager, he represents Grammy-nominated rap superduo Run the Jewels, plus the young West African rock band, Songhoy Blues, the up & coming rapper/producer Ikechi Nnamani, and American singer-songwriter Eddie Eberle. He’s also a strategic partner at Monotone artist management, home to Jack White, LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend, Danger Mouse, Jonah Hill, Jamie Foxx & more.

With Run the Jewels, Amaechi (& partner Will Bronson) have been instrumental in crafting one of the most celebrated, and unlikely, success stories in recent musical history. Amaechi overseas all aspects of the group’s career & business affairs, creative marketing campaigns, brand partnerships & charitable initiatives. He also leads in the development of their ancillary businesses, including film & television, technology, craft beer & cannabis, and is a three-time winner of the Libera Awards prestigious ‘Marketing Genius’. Additionally, he's a partner in the LA-based film & content company, GRAiNEY Pictures. Their work was awarded Cannes Cyber Lions in 2013 & 2014, plus Webby, Telly and CODA Awards in 2014 & 2015.

Previously, Amaechi was the co-founder of legendary indie hip hop label Definitive Jux; elected founding chairman the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), serving from 2006-2009; and was co-founder of the PLUG Independent Music Awards (2004-08), working with some of music’s brightest lights, including Nick Cave, Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent, Dizzee Rascal, TV on the Radio, RJD2 & Stephen Malkmus. He has been a featured speaker / panelist at Cannes Lion, SF Music Tech, Grammys, SXSW, NYTimes, MIDEM, NYU Clive Davis School of Music, NY:LON Connect, Upstream Festival, Cardozo Law School and more. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, receiving a B.A. in English Literature and Philosophy.
