NEW YORK, USA // Michael Presson is an Executive Vice President and part of the digital leadership team at Weber Shandwick. He also oversees the digital health team for Weber Shandwick New York.
Michael specializes in creating integrated strategies and content for the health and wellness sectors with a focus on developing brand stories that deliver unified experiences across all digital and new media platforms. These end-to-end solutions are applied across consumer, HCP and employee/recruitment audiences in support of multiple therapeutic areas.
In addition, he has set the standard for developing the criteria for which integrated campaigns are developed and evaluated for their ability to drive marketing and communications objectives.
He has successfully led inter-agency teams in support of brand campaigns leveraging the full marketing mix of disciplines including recent consumer awareness programs such as the BI/Lilly Type 2 diabetes campaign, For Your Sweetheart, featuring Angela Bassett and Dr. Travis Stork of The Doctors and the Genentech-led Cancer Screen Week program in partnership with Stand Up To Cancer, The American Cancer Society and Rally Health.
Michael’s previous and related experience includes corporate and product digital content and social media strategies for P&G, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis and Merck among others.
Michael holds a BA in communications and a certificate in advertising from the University at Buffalo.
Outside the office Michael can be seen drumming for one of NYC’s longest-performing 80s rock cover bands, The Gilfords.
