HAMBURG, GERMANY // Holger Hansen is Managing Director and Partner at Jung von Matt SPORTS, Europe's most awarded sports marketing agency. After studying communications, political science and geography at RWTH Aachen University, Holger Hansen worked as a communications consultant in renowned advertising agencies in Düsseldorf, Barcelona and Hamburg. Since June 2014, Holger Hansen has been with Jung von Matt SPORTS in Hamburg. Holger Hansen has many years of experience in integrated campaign management as well as a strong knowledge of traditional, digital and social media. He is a dedicated team leader and player with the ability to inspire colleagues and clients alike, and always has the will to drive creativity and efficiency. He has spent more than 12 years shaping some of the most famous global brands in sports and beyond, ranging from adidas over BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen to amazon, DHL, XBOX, FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Hertha Berlin. For most of these clients, he developed ideas that have defined their creative agendas locally but also around the world. Working internationally has led him to develop a sharp sense of creative ideas that deliver powerful insights.
Having worked in the communications industry during this highly transformative time, Holger has internalized the evolving landscape and the way brands interact with their audiences. He understands that media and cultural shifts are a constant and recognize the impact this has on the conversation. In doing so, he believes that a clear brand narrative has never been more important, and that communicating it in new and interesting ways has never been more rewarding.
Outside of Jung von Matt SPORTS, Holger Hansen is an enthusiastic runner, racing cyclist, member of the German Alpine Club and father of two daughters.
