BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA // Angélica Galvis is a Colombian Art Director & Designer working as VP Head of Art and Design at VMLY&R Commerce, Cleveland, Ohio. She is excited to be moving to North America to share her craft and design vision with the team.

Before joining VMLY&R Commerce, she was an Art Director/Designer at Leo Burnett in Bogotá, as well as Proximity, Sístole and Grey Advertising. Angélica studied Graphic Design at Colombia’s Cali School of Fine Arts.

During her 15 years in the business, Angélica has won awards for brands like Adidas in the Iberoamerica Ojo Fest, the Dorado Fest, the Ees, and been honored with many additional distinctions in design. She also serves as an Art Director mentor at Bogotá’s Nogma; and is a member of the Ladies Wine & Design collective.

For Angélica, design is a huge part of life, and she loves combining the freedom of big, bold color choices with collage and unique fonts. She likes to consider her work aesthetic as “tropical gothic” and is deeply inspired in her life and her home city of Cali, Colombia.

Angélica and her husband Kendall Ocampo share their lives, and home, with two cats, Emilio and Cosme.
