LOS ANGELES, USA // Joe Wees is currently Senior Vice President of Creative Advertising at Universal Pictures. 

A homegrown Universalien, Joe started out as an intern on the In-House team writing copy and getting yelled at by editors.

Since those days, he’s become the creative exec on a litany of successful projects including The Purge franchise, Ouija, The Visit, and Ride Along 2.

Since 2013, he has overseen the despicably fun print campaigns for all Illumination Entertainment animated films.
