“Stay” Remains The Most Popular Song of the Month, And Pepsi Couldn’t Be Happier

A few weeks after going certified platinum in the U.S., the collaboration between EDM producer/performer Zedd and singer Alessia Cara shows no signs of slowing down or going away any time soon. Even more incredible is that the song was co-written by a 23-year-old former Media & Communications student from Melbourne, Australia named Sarah Aarons.

Aarons’ story is almost as incredible as “Stay’s” meteoric rise – diagnosed with autoimmune disease, the young woman explained in an interview with The Industry Observer that her health forecast inspired her to “do something incredible” with her life rather than settle for a normal job.

She goes on to tell the publication: “It’s a disease that effects your whole entire life and it’s going to get worse. I was kind of like, ‘Screw that!’ If this thing I can’t change is going be so huge in my life and I literally can’t do anything about it. All I have to control is what I do with my life – that’s all I have control over. So, I’m just going to run at it as hard as I can, and see what happens.”

You can see why this is quickly becoming a Summer 2017-defining song…

Track: “Hypnotize” by The Notorious B.I.G.

There is no mistaking that beat anywhere. The 90s classic has been brought back (did it ever leave, though?) to make a strong case for Oreo’s lighter calorie alternative. It may not have you craving a chocolate wafer, but it will get your head bobbing.
