Surprise, surprise: Maren Morris, Zedd, and Grey nab the top spot once again on this week’s list, proving the power of a music-centric advertisement.
2) L’Oreal, “Comeback”
Track: “Never Be The Same” by Camila Cabello
Former Fifth Harmony member and current rising star Camila Cabello is having a very good few weeks. In addition to nabbing the no. 2 spot on the Shazam Top 10, the “Havana” singer just turned 21, and announced she’ll be joining Taylor Swift on her world tour this summer, along with Charli XCX.
3) Levi’s, “Circles”

Track: “Makeba” by Jain
French singer-songwriter Jain holds steady this week with her song “Makeba,” the title of which is a reference to the famous South African singer and civil rights activist Miriam Makeba.
4) Amazon Prime Video, “Sneaky Pete Season Two”
Track: “Believer” by Imagine Dragons
Our favorite commercial music, aka Imagine Dragons, has returned to the Shazam Top 10 as the band’s song “Believer” soundtracks Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming new season of Sneaky Pete.
5) MasterCard, “Can’t Judge A Book”
Track: “You Can’t Judge A Book” by SZA, Victoria Canal, Radkey, The Tracks, Ruby Ibarra, William Prince, Noé Socha
You might recognize this ad (and its singer) from this year’s Grammys post. In it, Best New Artist nominee SZA sings a perfectly soulful cover of “You Can’t Judge A Book By Its Cover,” a Willy Dixon song originally made famous by Bo Diddley. The ad is part of MasterCard’s #StartSomethingPriceless campaign.
6) Vitaminwater, “Drink Outside The Lines”
Track: “Feel It Still” by Portugal The Man
Last week, we detailed Portugal The Man’s extensive commercial résumé, which includes spots with Apple, Nike, and the new movie Peter Rabbit. That exposure is paying off, with the band selling 21,526 copies of the single just last week.
7) Subaru, “Making Memories”

Gregory Alan Isakov’s heartstring-pulling single accompanies this heartstring-pulling ad from Subaru about growing older and passing down the family car to the next generation.

Track: “Satisfy” by MOONZz
Los Angeles electronic singer MOONZz’ 2015 debut track is the perfect R&B and trap-laden synth pop sound to accompany models Josephine Skriver and Elsa Hosk as they strut a new line from Victoria’s Secret.
9) Walmart, “Free Two-Day Shipping”

Thanks to Walmart, people everywhere are rediscovering the magic of disco and R&B singer Anita Ward and her killer song “Ring My Bell.”
10) LG, “This is Real”

Molly Kate Kestner, best know her 2014 original song “His Daughter,” is coming back onto the scene thanks to this ad, which features another song, “Compromise.” While you’re perusing her back catalog, check out her 2017 single “Footprints,” which is about her younger brother Nathan.
