NEW YORK, USA // Texan by origin, New Yorker by choice. I went to school at UT Austin and received my degree in Creative Advertising. Following college, I began my career as a copywriter in the world of ads. After 8 years of agency life, I felt pulled to the one part of the process that truly lit me up – MUSIC! In my late 20s, I made a career shift, diving deep into music supervision and licensing! I spent 3 years with a London-based music company, where I learned from and led a team through projects that introduced to the world artists like Alabama Shakes, Florence + The Machine, The Black Keys, SBTRKT and more.
I’ve since moved to NYC, firstly as the Executive Producer of an original music company, and now Sr. Director of Licensing for Ads at Universal Music Publishing. Here I’ve been fortunate enough to license both iconic and emerging music for some of today’s biggest advertisers. I feel lucky. All more than my small-town Texan heart could have ever imagined.
