LOS ANGELES, USA // Byron Merritt currently is the Vice President of Design & Creative for Amazon Music. In this role he leads a multidisciplinary team of creatives and strategists across UX/Product Design, Brand Strategy & Brand Design, along with Research and Beta all focusing on elevating and igniting fandom and positioning Amazon Music as an audio first entertainment brand. His team has creatively been behind the evolution of the Amazon Music brand over the last few years having impact across the spectrum of artist and fan experiences. He is a tenured creative leader with 30 plus years of shaping the brand experience of customers at some of the world’s best companies. Prior the Amazon Music, Byron lead the end to end brand experience for Delta Airlines, having creative oversite of the entire customer experience. Byron spent a decade and a half at Nike prior to Delta where he lead the creation of some of the most innovative customer experiences for the brand. His work has always been at the intersection design + technology + customer experience + culture.
Outside of work, he is an avid photographer with work that is part of the permanent collection of Portland Art Museum, he is a trustee and associate Chair of the board for Southern California Institute of Architecture and lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.”
