LOS ANGELES, USA // Carrie Smith is a Creative Executive in the music industry with almost 20 years of experience working with artists and leading teams to create compelling visuals for album campaigns. Always with an artist-first mentality, she has personally worked with an impressive lineup of high-caliber talent including St. Vincent, James Taylor, Tanya Tucker and more. She leads the charge in navigating an increasingly diverse portfolio of artists at Concord Label Group.
In 2019 she was promoted to VP, Design at Concord Label Group as part of their innovation initiative to create a world-class, in-house Design Department. Carrie has curated a team of creators, each responsible for developing visual assets to strengthen and build artists’ careers. The Design Department’s award-winning team consists of Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Content Creators, Social Media Designers, Animators, Music Video Commissioners and Video Producers. Under Carrie’s leadership, the department promotes and inspires excellence in design.
Throughout her career, she has shown her creative leadership through notable awards. Carrie’s work on the album Blood by Rhye was recognized with a JUNO Award for Album Artwork of the Year, in 2019. She, along with members of her team, also received a Clio Award for Design for the Coltrane ’58 vinyl box set packaging.
