LEXINGTON, USA // Chris is a four-time EFFIE Award winner recognized for his ability to develop truly innovative brand strategies that deliver meaningful business results. He has been at the forefront of building some of the world’s most inspirational brands including Keds, Sperry, Saucony, NIKE, Converse, Bauer and Electronic Arts.
Chris is currently the President of Keds, a position he assumed in 2014. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he is responsible for leading the global growth of Keds (a brand within the Wolverine Worldwide portfolio), and oversees all key functional areas of the business. This year Chris led the launch of the brand’s Ladies First Since 1916 platform, and has positioned the iconic footwear brand for a momentous centennial celebration in 2016.
Prior to joining Keds, Chris held other leadership roles within the Wolverine Worldwide family including CMO and SVP of Business Development of Sperry Top-Sider. He also spent more than three years as the CMO and SVP of Global Sales of Saucony, where he created and launched the Find Your Strong campaign, and repositioned the brand from traditional New England running company to inspirational global athletic player.
Before joining the Wolverine Worldwide portfolio, Chris spent nine years with NIKE. He led Global Marketing for Converse, and launched the brand’s first-ever global campaign, Connectivity. Prior to Converse, Chris was the VP of Global Marketing at NIKE Bauer Hockey where he crafted the brand strategy that led to the revival of the business and return of the Bauer brand to the #1 position in hockey globally. Chris has also held senior marketing leadership positions with 800.COM, Electronic Arts, and Rollerblade. He began his career in advertising working on iconic CPG brands such as SPAM, Hormel Chili and Dinty Moore Beef Stew.
Chris lives in the Boston area with his wife and two daughters. He’s an avid runner, skier, golfer, and cyclist. He is an experienced public speaker and graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in Management and Minor in Spanish.
