Chris is currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer of The CW, where he is transforming a legacy brand that defined Young Adult programming into a “Big 5” network that super serves broadcast audiences. Over the past year, he has redesigned the network identity, launched the CW Sports brand, and developed creative marketing campaigns for a diverse mix of programming such as All American, Superman & Lois, Sullivan’s Crossing and Wild Cards.
As a senior marketing executive at HBO for more than 15 years, and CMO of Warner Media Entertainment until 2020, he was a driving force behind building the iconic HBO brand, marketing its portfolio of original programming and helping to advance the organization’s digital transformation to support a multi-platform, direct-to-consumer business. During his tenure at HBO, he led award-winning campaigns for culture-defining shows including Game of Thrones, Succession and The Sopranos, and spearheaded the digital marketing strategy that launched 3 streaming services – HBOGO, HBO NOW, and most recently, HBOMAX.
Chris’ work has been recognized with numerous Cannes Lion, Emmy, Clio, Webby, Effie, and One Show awards. In addition, he has been named one of “The 25 Most Innovative CMOs in the World” by Business Insider and one of “Hollywood’s Top 25 Marketing Masterminds” by The Hollywood Reporter.
Chris holds a BA in English Literature from Colgate University and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
