MUMBAI, INDIA // Producer, storyteller, and founder of Hungry Films, Dharam Valia has been a part of Indian advertising for almost 25 years in different roles.
In Account Management and Creative Strategy for India’s top tier agencies like Lintas, McCann and Ogilvy. And now, as a Producer and Entrepreneur with Hungry Films, an award winning advertising film production company that he set up with his partner, Vijay Sawant in 2014.
Original, visually strong and emotionally evocative, Hungry’s work has consistently gained recognition at major international awards like Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clios, London International Awards, Shots APAC, as well as Indian awards like Kyoorius, GoaFest, and ASAP Campaign India Film Craft Awards amongst others. Their projects have also been featured in leading Indian advertising publications, including Social Samosa, Mediabrief.com, afaqs!, exchange4media, and The Hubverse.
As a respected voice in the industry, Dharam was recently a panelist on India’s first-ever Ad Film Producers’ Roundtable, hosted by Good Ads Matter.
A tech enthusiast, Dharam balances his passion for cinema and travel with a love for good breakfastsand, of course, his signature shorts).
Apart from producing commercials at Hungry Films, he is also currently producing his first feature film with a leading studio, scheduled to be released in the summer of 2025.
