LOS ANGELES, USA // Eddie Kim is an award-winning sound designer and mixer at Therapy Studios.

His work on the Foo Fighter’s HBO’s Sonic Highways, earned him two Emmys, the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Award and a Cinema Audio Society Television Award.

His audio has bolstered spots for agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, 72andSunny, Venables Bell & Partners, 180LA and Deutsch LA as well as collaborations with directors such as Daniel Kleinman, Stacy Wall, Dante Ariola, Noam Murro and Stacy Peralta.

Kim has worked on a multitude of Super Bowl spots including, A Dream Car-For Real Life for Kia out of David&Goliath and Reebok Be More Human with Venables Bell & Partners.

His sound design and mixing for feature films include Dogtown and Z Boys, Riding Giants, A Tribe called Quest’s Beats Rhymes & Life, and video games such as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.

He sound designed an educational animated web series that teaches the ABCs, as well as a new VR series that celebrates the crossroads of humanity and technology.  

He’s worked on renowned shorts such as The Gift, which was honored with a Craft Grand Prix Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the VR film The Evolution of Verse, helmed by director Chris Milk.

Throughout his career, he’s consistently received prestigious honors from international creative awards shows including London International, AICP, D&AD and the Clio Awards, and has been on the jury for the Clios and AICP for sound technique in film.

In his free time he likes to play Street Fighter, skateboard & DJ.
