Elizabeth Doonan

Elizabeth Doonan is Executive Producer of Special Projects at SMUGGLER globally, a division she established in October of 2021. Since joining the company in 2019, Doonan has established the company’s seat in the music business, creating one of the most awarded and lauded music video departments in the industry. As Executive Producer of Special Projects, she is focused on discovering and developing new talent alongside the established directors on the roster and attracting and helming projects that sit just outside the traditional advertising and music space. Alongside creative music and branded film work she is committed to pushing the boundaries into the film, documentary and art space to create culturally relevant work regardless of the genre.

A selection of recent notable projects include Executive Producer of Sundance winning ‘Don’t go Tellin your Momma’ for artist Topaz Jones directed by rubberband.; heavily awarded and Tribeca selected music video ‘Point and Kill’ for Little Simz ft. Obonjayer directed by Ebeneza Blanche; short film for Louis Vuitton as part of their Visionary series ‘Mine Mind’ directed by Fenn O’Meally and the Cannes Grand Prix winning video for Micheal Kiwanuka ‘Beautiful Life’.

Prior to joining SMUGGLER, Doonan worked as a commissioner at Sony becoming one of the UK Music Industry’s top commissioners in the process. Doonan is known for creative excellence in all that she does, always striving to push the envelope no matter the genre. Her track record in identifying, mentoring, and working with new talent speaks for itself, as she’s amassed an enviable body of work both as a Commissioner and Executive Producer. Doonan began her career working at some of London’s top production companies including RSA, working directly with Ridley Scott, and at Somesuch before her role as Creative Assistant to Jonathan Glazer on his film UNDER THE SKIN.
