Erik Torstensson is the Founder of Wednesday Agency Group, the world’s leading fashion marketing group as well as the Founder of FRAME, one of the fastest growing premium brands in the US.Born in Sweden in 1978, Torstensson started his career at Winkreative as Creative Director. In 2003 he and his business partner Jens Grede left their respective roles and to found Saturday Group that, in 2012, became Wednesday Agency.Since the inception of Saturday Group, Torstensson has been the leading creative director, spanning from conception to execution, on numerous successful and recognizable global campaigns, including Calvin Klein, Mango, H & M, Tory Sport and the rebranding of the iconic French department store Galeries Lafayette and contemporary American brand Theory.Additionally, the concept of MrPorter.com was originally the brainchild of Torstensson who identified a need in the marketplace for an online men’s style-destination that could serve as an authority on men’s style.In 2015, Torstensson & Grede sold a majority of Wednesday Agency Group to BBDO Worldwide (publ. Omnicom) with a view to grow the company into a global boutique network focused on the consumer, retail and media industries.In 2012, Torstensson & Grede successfully launched their first own brand in retail, FRAME, where they serve as Creative Directors, which was born out of a desire to create a brand of chic essentials with denim at the core. It is now available in approx. 1,500 stores around the world including Net-A-Porter, Selfridges and Barney’s.Alongside his day-to-day commitments, Torstensson is a successful photographer and director shooting editorial for VOGUE, 032c, PORTER and he & Grede’s own venture INDUSTRIE magazine, as well as shooting campaigns for H & M; Kurt Geiger, Max & Co, Net-a-Porter, Thoery and directing commercials for Calvin Klein, H & M and Gap.
