VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA // Faycal Ben abdellaziz has worked at National Australia Bank (NAB) for over 9 years. Faycal leads and manages the Group Brand team covering the areas of Brand, CSR and Sponsorship. In his role he is responsible for all visual design, experience, strategy, advertising, management and communications of the bank’s key brands (NAB, MLC and Plum).
He has held various roles at NAB including key strategic marketing, digital marketing, advertising and communications roles, covering consumer to corporate & institutional audiences in the APAC region, as well as wealth management and markets products areas.
Prior to NAB, Faycal spent time honing his skills in a number of marketing communications roles with Mercer, Colonial First State and Finsia.
Before his move into the financial services and banking industry, he held marketing and advertising roles in local government and telecommunications industries in Australia and The Netherlands.
He has also spent time on agency side, as owner and director of a boutique marketing strategy and communications agency, consulting to both corporate and not-for-profit clients.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Marketing from CQU in Sydney, and senior standing in his Masters of Accounting. Faycal also spent 3 years in Miami studying business administration at FIU.
Faycal and his family – incl the furry ones – have called Australia home since 2000, but he is originally from Holland.
His interests include hiking, running (half marathons are a favourite), travelling, reading and binge-watching TV shows.
