Gonzalo “Montaña” Fernandez

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA // With more than 20 years of experience in advertising, Gonzalo has worked across various
industries and brands, including AB InBev, IKEA, Coca-Cola, Unilever, DirecTV, Visa, Bayer,
Fox, and Turner, among others, across Latin America and worldwide.
He has been part of some of Argentina’s most prestigious agencies, including Agulla &
Baccetti, Young & Rubicam Argentina (now VML), *SCPF Argentina, Mercado McCann, Santo
Buenos Aires, Ponce, and Grey Argentina, where he currently serves as Executive Creative
Director.

His work has been recognized at numerous advertising festivals, including Clio, Cannes
Lions, The One Show, D&AD, LIA, the New York Festival, and El Sol, as well as at the
region’s most renowned festivals, such as FIAP, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Wave, ADC, Effie,
and Diente (Argentinian Creative Circle).

Additionally, Gonzalo has served as a juror at the Cannes Lions Festival, the Effies Latam
and Argentina, and the Circulo de Creatividad Argentina in multiple categories.
He has also been teaching creativity at Argentina’s top advertising schools for nearly 17
years.

He has a nickname, “Mountain”, which has practically become his second name. If you want
to know where it came from, you’ll have to ask him in person—it’s a great icebreaker.
He is an illustrator, an avid gamer, and, according to his son, a great dad.
