LOS ANGELES, USA // Jonathan Gitlin, Partner & President of Television, Gaming and Virtual Reality at Create Advertising Group, is an award winning motion graphics designer and Creative Director. In addition to his domestic responsibilities; Gitlin oversees Create’s London office, taking on an international role spanning two continents.
Gitlin’s creative leadership has helped expand Create’s portfolio, working on some of the most daring and creatively ambitious titles of the last 10 years. As a Creative Director, Gitlin has been involved in campaigns for “The People V. OJ Simpson,” as well as the campaign for Netflix’s first all French production, “Marseille.” He’s been a part of award winning campaigns for “Beasts of No Nation,” “Fargo,” “Sense8,” “Orange is the New Black,” and “Marvel’s Daredevil.” In gaming, he has been a key part of the innovative ads involved with hits such as “Lawbreakers,” “Just Dance,” “Assassin’s Creed: Jack the Ripper,” “Dark Souls II,” and “Dark Souls III.” In conjunction with David Stern, Gitlin launched Create’s new division CreateVR, overseeing the development of the company’s award winning debut VR experience, “Can You Walk the Walk?” for the Sony Picture’s film “The Walk.”
Jonathan Gitlin obtained a BA from UC Santa Barbara before pursuing a degree in Digital Media at FIDM. He started at Create Advertising as an intern 10 years ago and worked his way up with his ambition, creativity and active leadership. He donates his time to Creative Matters, a full service agency that provides design, photography, and videography expertise to non-profit and for-profit businesses as well as developing and mentoring people in recovery. Gitlin is an avid golfer, the company softball team’s shortstop, and the reigning Ping-Pong champion at Create.
