NEW YORK, USA // Kerri Mackar is the Executive Vice President of Brands & Ventures at Republic Records. Since joining the team in 2017, she has executed a series of high-profile partnerships between the label’s roster of award-winning talent and preeminent brands. Mackar was instrumental in the opening of Republic’s first ever recording studio and multipurpose space in NYC. Since its launch in Fall 2022, she continues to play a role in the studio’s operations and programming.
Mackar and her team have cultivated key relationships for many Republic artists, including Metro Boomin x Budweiser, Coi Leray x Sprite, Kid Cudi x Levi’s, James Blake x Cadillac, Yung Gravy x Footlocker, and more.
Mackar has worked closely with Post Malone and his team to secure multiple deals for the global superstar. These include two Super Bowl spots with Bud Light, plus a custom merchandise collab, limited-edition cans, and Bud Light Dive Bar Tour live performances. Other collaborations range from a Doritos campaign to Post’s trendsetting collaboration with Crocs in which he released five collections that all sold out in a matter of minutes.
Kerri worked with multi-platinum Academy® Award-nominated artist and GRAMMY® Award winner The Weeknd and the XO team to develop a global launch campaign for the Mercedes-Benz EQC. The international spot features The Weeknd, and his record-breaking single “Blinding Lights” as the title track for the campaign.
Mackar and her team have been recognized by the Clio Music awards for their partnership campaigns including Post Malone x Pokémon, Jonas Brothers x Lenovo, Lil Tecca x XBOX, The Weeknd x Postmates, Post Malone x Bud Light, & Post Malone x Crocs.
Mackar was featured on Billboard’s outstanding Women in Music list (2023, 2021, 2019, 2018), Variety’s 2020 New York Women’s Impact Report, Variety’s 2019 Hitmakers List, and Billboard’s Branding Power Players list (2019, 2018). Before joining the Republic team, Mackar served as Head of Marketing at Rolling Stone. Prior to Rolling Stone, she was Executive Director of Marketing for Billboard.
Kerri is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two daughters.
