SAN RAFAEL, USA // Leah Hoyer joined Telltale in October 2016 to serve as the company’s Vice President of Creative. In this highly hands-on role, Leah both oversees and works directly with the studio’s creative teams, including its writers and designers. She also works with the company’s executive staff to help define processes and goal for Telltale’s creative output.
A veteran narrative designer, Leah previously served as Studio Director in charge of Narrative at ArenaNet, most known for its popular Guild Wars franchise. Prior to that, she led the Narrative Design department at Microsoft Studios, where her projects included Xbox One titles Sunset Overdrive, Killer Instinct, and Quantum Break. Early in her career, Leah briefly worked as an attorney before attending UCLA Film School to earn her MFA in Animation. She then served as Director of Development for Disney Television Animation, working on such global hits as Phineas & Ferb, Recess, and Kim Possible.
Leah is passionate about interactive storytelling and works with teams to integrate story into every aspect of Telltale’s games to create a fun and immersive player experience. She is a frequent speaker at game and animation conferences.
