After High School studied on the Movie Academy in Amsterdam for 4 years.

Started as an intern at Studio Alfred Klaassen, but after a few years got his own studio called Marco Sound. Soon became a well-known sound designer for the Dutch advertising agency. After 8 years he went to a post-production company called Post Office where he set up an entire audio department. But after 9 years wanted to work more international and he got a partnership at Kaiser Sound Studios. Being in the same building with post-production company Glassworks was the best thing ever happened to him. That way, lots of international work passes through his studios. Being in the center of Amsterdam also keeps the Dutch agencies coming.
