NEW YORK, USA // Mari Helen has been in advertising practically all her life. She started out as an account person, but in a few short months she saw the error of her ways, put together a portfolio, and got a job as a copywriter.
She began her creative career working on consumer products as diverse as Pringles, Kraft foods, Downy fabric softener and Listerine.
Mari Helen first transitioned to healthcare at Grey Advertising, on OTC products like Advil and Dimetapp. She then moved to JWT creating integrated campaigns on Johnson & Johnson brands like Listerine and Band-Aid. Believing that consumer insights are the best way to connect with patients, Mari Helen created the wind-up doll for Pfizer’s antidepressant, Pristiq, as well as launched AstraZeneca’s Onglyza. She has been at ghg for over three years and is currently SVP/Creative Director on both consumer and professional healthcare accounts in traditional and digital media.
