Owen Brown

BROOKLYN, USA // Owen is an award-winning director and creative director who’s worked with Barack Obama, Bob Moses, Google, Apple, Ed Sheeran, Stella Artois and A R I Z O N A. He’s worked in-house at creative agencies like Anomaly, as well as in internal creative agencies like WME, SiriusXM and Budweiser. He’s won 20+ awards for his work at the Webby Awards, Clio Awards and SXSW.

Owen is known for directing innovative, cinematic music videos. He invented a new style of animation to make a music video for Bob Moses and ZHU, which won at SXSW and became Bob Moses’s most viewed music video of all time. He also recently worked with Navajo Nation to build the biggest piece of temporary land art in Arizona history while directing a music video for A R I Z O N A, a major band with over a billion Spotify streams.

In 2024, he won three Clio Awards for that Arizona project, including the only gold Clio of the year for best director. The project also won two Webbys, including for best art direction on the Internet, and was selected to be featured at the biggest TED Talk event of the year.

Owen is the founder of CTRL5, a first-of-its-kind creative agency for artists. He started it to use his background working for Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign, and creative agencies like Anomaly, to help artists create powerful visual worlds across their album rollout campaigns.
