LOS ANGELES, USA // At Shazam, Peter oversees two teams- the Global Music Team & the US Advertising team. As Head of Music, he is responsible for all partnerships with the music industry. His team executes both promotional & paid activity with artists, management companies & labels who want to tap into Shazam’s 120 million monthly users.
In overseeing the US Ad team, Peter & his team build unique partnerships for brands, agencies and broadcasters who want to tap into the Shazam platform. He has spearheaded innovative ad partnerships with clients like Fox, Sony Pictures, Rdio, Spotify, Jaguar, Old Navy & Toyota. Peter was the 4th member of the Shazam global ad team, and opened the LA office for Shazam.
Prior to joining Shazam, Peter spent nearly a decade in radio in his native Boston- starting as Internet Content Manager at Kiss 108 & Jamn 945 as the web exploded in the early 2000s. After that he became Marketing Director at Star 937 before transitioning to sales back at Kiss 108 where he ultimately led Clear Channel Boston's digital sales efforts as On-line Director of Sales & Integrated Marketing Manager. After radio, he was Director of Business Development at Captivate's Digital Out-Of-Home network and prior to Shazam got back to his musical roots as Sales Manager at Pandora as they began selling audio ads.
Peter graduated from Syracuse University and lives with his wife & son in Santa Monica.
