LOS ANGELES, USA // Ramon Alvarez- Smikle is the Executive Vice President, Head of Digital Marketing at Interscope Records, where he has spent nearly 8 years leading innovative digital marketing strategies across a diverse artist roster. As a seasoned music industry executive Alvarez-Smikle has helped lead digital marketing campaigns for artists like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Playboi Carti, 6LACK, Juice WRLD, benny blanco, and many more.

Prior to joining Interscope Records, Ramon handled music partnerships at Shazam, ensuring artists, managers and labels utilized the app to shape and promote their narratives. Smikle credits his keen eye for emerging trends and passion for leveraging technology to his Chicago upbringing, where he developed a love for emerging Hip-Hop blogs like Fake Shore Drive. As the son of renowned visual artists Candida Alvarez and Dawoud Bey, his parents also shaped his perception of the music and culture around him.

Ramon is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and has been recognized by Billboard in their annual 40 under 40 issue as an influential young music executive and by Variety as a Hollywood New Leader. Currently in his leadership role at Interscope Records Smikle is nurturing the next generation of music executives as they build connections with the artists and the content creators of tomorrow.
