NEW YORK, USA // An advertising, marketing, and public relations professional with two decades of experience, Robert Jones has led campaigns for over 110 Broadway and off-Broadway shows and other performing arts and cultural institutions. A graduate from Marymount Manhattan College, he started his career in management, serving as company manager for the off-Broadway production of The Awesome 80s Prom and the Assistant Company Manager of The Drowsy Chaperone. Robert held positions at Serino Coyne and SpotCo, managing accounts including Wicked, Beautiful, The Color Purple, Follies, How to Succeed…, and Promises, Promises. Robert spent a brief time in central Florida managing marketing and public relations at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and also in Boston for Ambassador Theatre Group to reopen the historic Emerson Colonial Theatre with a focus on advertising and PR around varied offerings, including the pre-Broadway engagements of Moulin Rouge!, American Utopia and Plaza Suite. In 2020, Robert relocated back New York City to join AKA. Among the agency’s current theatrical client roster are Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, & Juliet, Water for Elephants, The Wiz, Second Stage Theater, Cabaret, Hell’s Kitchen, Illinoise, and the upcoming Sunset Blvd., The Big Gay Jamboree, Left on Tenth, Swept Away, Cult of Love and Gypsy. Robert is also a lecturer at Boston University, teaching theatrical advertising and marketing and an industry specialist member of the Broadway League.
