LOS ANGELES, USA // Ryan is Director of Marketing at Square Enix, Inc., where he oversees the North American marketing strategy and campaigns for the Japanese studio video games portfolio, including world-renowned IP such as FINAL FANTASY, KINGDOM HEARTS, DRAGON QUEST, and others. Most recently, he led the North American campaign for FINAL FANTASY XV, which garnered recognition as a top 10 console video game title of 2016.
Ryan has over 15 years of marketing experience in the entertainment industry, spanning from the music industry to most recently in the video games industry, where he has resided for the last 10 years. Prior to Square Enix, he spent 8 years at Activision Blizzard in various global marketing and strategy positions, working most recently on the toys-to-life franchise Skylanders, although his responsibility has spanned from Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, and Marvel, among others during his tenure.
Ryan is originally from Northeast Ohio, which he blames for his unhealthy relationship with Cleveland sports. He currently resides in Los Angeles, with his wife. He is an avid aviation enthusiast and private pilot, and enjoys spending his spare time in the skies.
