LONDON, UK // Sometime in the 80s, a scruffy, long-haired six year-old entered a cinema for the first time and saw Wolfgang Peterson’s “The NeverEnding Story” and a passion was born. Now that boy is lucky enough to make a career escaping into never-ending stories.
Renowned for his innovative and internationally focused approach, Sam began his award-winning career as a copywriter at The Creative Partnership focusing on the Channel Four account and launching shows such as Big Brother, The West Wing and The Sopranos in the UK. From here he joined Empire Design’s nascent audio-visual department and after six years he left to establish Create Advertising’s UK offices.
In 2012, he founded Intermission Film with the purpose of creating campaigns that capture the imagination and get distinct and diverse voices heard. Since then, Intermission’s team of editors, designers, writers and producers have worked on international campaigns for Amy, Straight Outta Compton, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, Son Of Saul, A Fantastic Woman, The Crown and Whitney. This has seen them win Screen International’s UK Agency of the Year for 4 years running, along with numerous other industry awards.
