NEW YORK, USA // Stephen Master is a Senior Vice President at the Nielsen Company and runs the Global Sports Group.  Nielsen is the world's leading provider of marketing information, audience measurement and business media products and services.  The Nielsen Sports Practice operates across 20 countries and works closely with every major global sports property including the USOC, FIFA, UEFA, NFL, NHL, NBA, Formula 1 and Major League Baseball as well as leading companies/brands that invest in sports sponsorships & media such as Anheuser Busch, Procter & Gamble, Pepsi and Unilever.  As the head of the Nielsen Sports Group, Stephen developed the “FANALYTICS” platform which provides brands & properties with a deeper understanding of how fans consume sports content as well as measuring the impact of sports sponsorship investments.  He also created the Nielsen N-Score and Talent Analytics which is the leading measurement tool for evaluating the brand effectiveness of professional athletes and sports personalities, enabling advertisers to make smart marketing decisions on commercial endorsements.

Stephen’s insights & analysis from the "FANANLYTICS" platform are regularly quoted in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, USA Today, Associated Press, Forbes, Business Week, Huffington Post, Ad Age, Bloomberg and the Sports Business Journal.  He has been featured as a sports media expert on ESPN, CNN, Reuters, CNBC and Fox News as well as speaking at leading sports marketing conferences and events and was recently recognized as one of "Top 100 Most-Wanted Speakers At Tech Conferences"

Prior to joining Nielsen, Stephen was the VP of Business Development of Corporate Sponsorships at the National Football League.  Before the NFL, Stephen worked at Octagon Worldwide as the VP of Marketing Solutions where he worked with leading brands to incorporate sports, music & entertainment into their marketing portfolios as well as to activate and leverage those investments at retail.  Mr. Master also previously worked at the National Basketball Association, where he served as the Director of Business Development in the International Group. Stephen graduated with a BBA from the University of Michigan, received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is currently an adjunct professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business where he teaches a Sports & Entertainment Marketing course. He currently resides in Westchester County New York with his wife and three children.
