SAO PAULO, BRAZIL // Felipe Ribeiro is chief creative officer at Wieden+Kennedy Portland. Born in Santos, a coastal city in Brazil, Felipe grew up surrounded by canoeists and musicians and had 15 minutes of (very local) fame as a vocalist in a hardcore band. Those days are gone, but he continues to draw inspiration from music, writing, sports, and design to create work with a unique voice and a genuine chance of becoming part of the culture.
After joining Wieden+Kennedy in 2018 to serve as creative director for Facebook, Felipe has had experiences in the Sao Paulo, Portland, and New York offices, overseeing Heinz in the U.S. In 2022, he was appointed CCO at W+K Sao Paulo, leading the office to exponential growth and new clients. Within a year, he helped expand the network by setting up new offices in Mexico City and a hub in Buenos Aires—W+K’s first ventures into Spanish-speaking countries. After that, he moved to Portland to co-lead the agency’s headquarters with Azsa West and Jason White.
With over 16 years of experience in the advertising industry, Felipe has worked at several of the most creative agencies worldwide, amassed numerous renowned campaigns, and won over two hundred creative awards, including a Titanium Grand Prix for Doordash-All-The-Ads at the Cannes Lions Festival and a Grand Prix and a Titanium Lion for standout campaigns like “Tagwords” and “Bring Home the Bud” for Budweiser.
