SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL // Jahara is the founder and Co-Chief Creative Officer (CoCCO) of Dark Kitchen Creatives, a” boutique” advertising company specializing in creativity and strategy. It was born in September 2020 from the dream of having an independent, agile agency with expertise to offer a model that provides diverse solutions according to clients’ needs.

In a career spanning over 28 years, Jahara – as he is more commonly known – has worked in leading Brazilian advertising agencies, including F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, AlmapBBDO, Publicis Brasil, DM9, Leo Burnett TM, F.biz, and DDB.

Throughout this journey, Jahara has worked with some of Brazil’s top advertisers, including Jeep, Fiat, Volkswagen, Claro, Audi, Havaianas, Gol Linhas Aéreas, O Boticário, AB-Inbev (many brands), Unilever (Seda, TresEmmé, CloseUp, OMO), Samsung, P&G, Motorola, Bradesco, Itaú, Rico Investimentos, Nestlé, Seara, OLX, among others.

A winner of numerous international awards, such as Cannes Lions, Effie Awards, D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, ADC, Andy’s, AdStars, London Festival, FIAP, New York Festival, Wave, El Sol, El Ojo, Jahara is one of the most awarded professionals in the country from the 2010s onwards.

Other recognitions include serving as a jury member in many of the leading international advertising festivals such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, Clio Health, NYF, FIAP, Wave, Effie Awards, Clube de Criação, El Ojo, ADStars, The Smarties, among others.

Among his personal achievements, some are at the pinnacle of his career, including:

  • The “Prêmio Caboré” for “Creative Professional of the Year” in 2016 (Brazil’s most important Professional Award)
  • Ad Age List “Top 10 Art Directors in the World.”
  • Ad Age List “Top 10 Creative Directors in the World.”
  • Inducted into the “Marketing Hall of Fame” organized by AbraMark (Brazilian Marketing Association)

Among some of the most recognized works he has been involved in are: “Selos” for Correios do Brasil; “Vem pra Rua” for Fiat; “Enterro do Bentley” for the Brazilian Association of Organ Transplants (ABTO); “Meu sangue é Rubro-Negro” for Banco de Sangue da Bahia and E.C. Vitória; “Não julgue, beije” for Close Up; “Drink Responsibly” and “#MyPrideDoesntStop” for Ambev; and “Postpartum Under Pressure” for Baby Dove, among many others.

Dark Kitchen Creatives was less than 3 years old when it became one of the leading independent agencies in the market, being evaluated as “Rising Agency 2022” by Agency Scope, the largest research on advertising agencies in Brazil.

With a passion for creating and communicating, Jahara seeks to build bridges that help brands connect with people, leveraging sales in both products and services. Always with the goal of promoting true bonds between brands, consumers, and society.
