NEW YORK, USA // Richard Elder is Vice President of Global Brand Design at Herman Miller. In this role, Richard provides leadership for all of Herman Miller’s creative content, including consumer and commercial communications and physical installations, creating a consistent brand experience for the company’s clients and customers worldwide.

Richard joined Herman Miller in 2011 from Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he was the Creative Director for all printed communications for their portfolio of nine diverse hospitality brands. Prior to Starwood, Richard enjoyed a 19-year history at Nike, where he worked in multiple design disciplines including retail, events, branding, and product. While at Nike, his assignments included 10 years of overseas experience at Nike's European Headquarters in The Netherlands, and the company’s Asian headquarters in Hong Kong.
