BOSTON, USA // Arnold is the agency that first inspired Sean to get into advertising. He spent the first few years of his career trying to build a decent enough book to get his foot in the door. And then spent 12 years at Arnold rising through the ranks of the creative department, earning the title of Chief Creative Officer in 2019.
During his career, Sean has served as creative lead across all sorts of clients and categories, including Ocean Spray, Volvo, Monster.com, New Balance, Merrill Lynch, Priceline.com, Panasonic, SolarCity, and many more. Sean is best known for his leadership on Progressive insurance. During his tenure, Progressive’s business has more than tripled in size, growing into the 3rd largest insurance company in the country, while the Progressive brand has grown into one of the country’s most advertised, most recognizable, and most beloved.
Sean’s work has been repeatedly recognized by every major advertising award show there is, including Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Communication Arts, Clio, New York Festivals, London International, Effie, Radio Mercury, Addy, Webbys, AICP, and many others. Sean prides himself on motivated and supported creative teams; productive, candid client relationships; prodigious diet coke consumption; and sorta looking like grown-up Fred Savage if he ate young Fred Savage.
Sean is committed to building a thriving creative advertising community in his hometown of Boston and to developing the next generation of great advertising writers. He has an amazing wife, two amazing kids, and a pretty terrible lawn in the suburbs north of Boston.
