NEW YORK, USA // Camille Hackney is currently holds the dual title of Executive Vice President of Brand Partnerships & Commercial Licensing at Atlantic Records and Head of the Global Brand Partnerships Council for Warner Music Group headquartered in New York City.

In her position, she is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships for the company and Atlantic’s diverse roster of top-notch artists with the goal of marrying musical talent with prominent brands to create impactful campaigns and promotions.

She has worked with companies including Coca-Cola, Kraft, Adidas, Verizon Wireless, Pepsi, Microsoft, Nokia, Heineken, Samsung, Apple, AT&T, NASCAR, NBA, NFL, Chrysler, Diageo, P&G, and many others.

The campaigns vary in size and scope and extend from overall company-based partnerships that leverage in-house resources such as Atlantic’s extensive network of college representatives, urban market street teams, the company website, e-mail lists and wireless database to artist-based, 3rd party campaigns that include TV, print, radio and online components, tour sponsorships, music licensing and video product placement.

Her responsibilities also include general marketing department duties. Camille has appeared on Fox Business News network as a special music business commentator and has been quoted and profiled in numerous publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Advertising Age, Billboard, Brandweek, Adweek, The Entertainment Marketing Letter, Essence, VIBE, Spin, and others.

In her position at Warner Music Group, she leads a global team of brand partnership and commercial licensing executives to source global deals for the hundreds of artists signed to the various Warner Music Group labels and licensees around the globe.

Prior to her position at Atlantic, she was Vice President of Strategic Marketing and New Media at Elektra Entertainment Group.

She was responsible for the development of the company’s digital sales strategy, wireless marketing and sales strategy, overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Elektra web site (www.elektra.com), devising online marketing and promotional campaigns as well as forming strategic relationships with major online marketers and 3rd party companies. Ms. Hackney also oversaw the production of enhanced CD projects.

Prior to her position at Elektra, she was Senior Director of New Media Market Development at the Warner Music Group. (The Warner Music Group is comprised of such labels as Atlantic, Elektra, Lava, Maverick, Nonesuch, Reprise, Rhino, Sire, Warner Bros. and Word. Warner Music International.) Her position at the Music Group encompassed developing content for new multimedia platforms such as CD-ROM and Enhanced CD; exploring alternate forms of music distribution via the internet and interactive TV; and, exploring more traditional media outlets for music marketing and promotion through network television and cable.

Prior to her position at Warner Music Group, Camille worked as an independent consultant to several media companies.

She also worked at HBO in the marketing/market analysis department.

Prior to earning a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, Ms. Hackney was a financial analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co.

Ms. Hackney also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University.
