She began her career 16 years ago as an architect but soon discovered her passion for animation, leading NOMINT’s productions ever since.

Under her leadership, NOMINT represents some of the world’s most unique animation directors, creating impactful stories that highlight urgent environmental and social issues. Their award-winning COP campaigns for WWF have brought important environmental concerns to light. Recently, NOMINT received the Grand Prix at Ciclope 2024, was ranked the #1 Production Company in Film Craft at ADC 2024, and won a Yellow Pencil award. Marilena was also ranked in the top 50 in the Executive Producer Rankings at D&AD, showcasing her significant contributions to the industry.
