NEW YORK, USA // Puja Vohra serves as the executive vice president of marketing and digital for truTV. In this role, she is responsible for the development and execution of truTV marketing, creative and digital strategies, as well as creating and implementing innovative campaigns to expand the truTV brand and promote the network to the consumer and trade, both off-air and online with shows like Impractical Jokers, The Carbonaro Effect, and Adam Ruins Everything.
Vohra joined truTV in March 2014 after serving as senior vice president of marketing at Oxygen Media, where she managed the network’s consumer and adsales marketing teams. During her time at Oxygen, she launched several shows including The Glee Project and Preachers of LA. She also helped create new advertiser partnerships with brands like Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, AT&T and TJ Maxx. In addition, Vohra led Oxygen’s digital and social marketing initiatives, increasing the network’s online presence and engagement significantly.
She also previously had consumer and ad sales marketing roles at Bravo Media, making a splash with several successful show launches including Project Runway and Top Chef as well as the network’s first “Affluencers” trade campaign. Prior to her time in the US, she has marketing roles at Seagram India and MTV India. She holds a degree in management from IIM, Calcutta.
In addition to her job duties, Vohra serves as a board member for PromaxBDA International and has worked with the South Asian Women’s Leadership Forum. Most recently, she was honored as a 2016 Broadcasting & Cable Digital All-Star as well as winning a Clio Grand for best social media campaign. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Laxman, her 8 year old daughter Mira and the newly adopted hound pup Bailey Buttcheek.
