WorkInProgress

COLORADO, USA // California native Matt is co-founder of WorkInProgress (WIP), a Boulder-based full-service innovation and advertising agency that partners with brands to understand what makes them tick. Formed in 2016, WIP delivers breakthrough actions and advertising for the likes of Jimmy John's, HomeAdvisor, Nescafé, and Capital One.

Previously, he was VP/ECD at CP+B for seven years, where he led the team responsible for turning the company’s sales slump into a soaring success, something that is widely viewed as a benchmark for new-era marketing. During their 2009-2016 reign, Domino’s saw consistent sales growth, a surge in digital ordering from 20% to 50%, and awards from Cannes (Titanium Grand Prix), Effies and others. The stock rose from $8 to nearly $300. Matt oversaw all strategy and creative for Domino’s and Hotels.com and helped modernize the iconic Kraft Mac & Cheese brand.

Matt uses his rare mix of strong left- and right-brain functionality to run WIP’s 12-person creative department and the type of insights that drove the success of Domino’s to spark the ideation process, guide innovation, position products, and bring brands to life in the most impactful way possible. That means anything from hanging a store on the side of a cliff to bringing two dozen celebrities together for a bi-coastal multi-million-dollar shoot and everything in between.

He also heads up Thought Leadership and helps with Strategy. For clients, it’s a novelty to have a creative partner who balances the value of crowd-pleasing, award-winning work with concepts like strategy, management, ROI, and communication.

Over his career Matt’s been one of Business Insider’s “30 under 30 Most Creative People in Advertising,” Ad Age’s “40 Under 40,” and Adweek’s “Creative 100.”
