NEW YORK, USA // Angela Barkan is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at BMG in New York. She leads the marketing team whose roster of artists includes Adam Lambert, Backstreet Boys, Chromeo, Duran Duran, Bryan Adams, Nickelback, Rufus Wainwright, In This Moment and others.

Angela began her career at Sony Music Entertainment in Strategic Marketing at RCA Records where she put together partnerships for artists like Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters. She spent 18 years at the organization ultimately running Artist Development and Publicity at Sony Music Masterworks where she led campaigns for Yo-Yo Ma, Gloria Estefan, Dolly Parton, 2Cellos and more.

In her spare time Angela volunteers serves on the Arts Committee and as co-gala chair for the Central Park Summerstage / City Parks Foundation which brings free concerts and events to Central Park and 17 neighborhood parks around the city.

In 2022 Angela was a Billboard “Women In Music” honoree. She has spoken on numerous industry panels including events with SXSW, Canadian Music Week and MTV's Youth Marketing Forum. She holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.A. from Cornell University.

Angela grew up in Toronto and now resides in New York City with her daughter Sunny.
