MÉXICO CITY, MÉXICO // Juan José Posada studied graphic design and advertising. Throughout his career, he has worked in Colombia, United Kingdom and Mexico being part of prestigious agencies such as McCann, Sancho/BBDO, Ogilvy, Geometry, Grey and VML.
Currently, he is Partner & Chief Creative Officer at independent agency anónimo in Mexico.
He has received accolades at Cannes Lions in 19 different categories, as well as awards in festivals such as D&AD, One Show, Clio, LIA, Art Director’s Club, Andy’s, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Immortal Awards, Sol de San Sebastián, Fiap, Communication Arts, New York Festivals, Wave, Círculo de Oro, J Chiat, and Effies.
In 2024, he was ranked as the #1 Chief Creative Officer in Latam by The One Show, #2 Global CCO by Art Directors Club, and is the #8 Art Director of all time according to Archive magazine. P&M magazine nominated him as Best Agency Leader in 2024, and he has been named Best Creative Director of Colombia three times at El Ojo de Iberoamérica.
He has been part of teams that have won a Grand Clio, a Yellow Pencil at D&AD; a Green Pencil and a SDG pencil at One Show, a Grand Clio Sports, a Designism Grand Prix and 2 Best in Show at the Art Directors Club of NY along with over 20 Grand Prix.
He has served as Jury President at festivals such as Dubai Lynx, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Young Lions Colombia, Wave Festival in Rio de Janeiro, and has been a juror at Cannes Lions in the Design and Promo categories. He has also been a juror at D&AD in London, Creative Circle in the UK, Círculo de Oro in Mexico, Jade in Guatemala, Gran APAP in Peru, Art Directors Club, and New York Festivals, among others.
Under his leadership, in 2023, the campaign considered the most awarded in the history of Colombian advertising was created: Life Extending Stickers for Makro.
